Sociology alumnus secures funding for HIV prevention in Louisiana

Samuel Burgess, '98, coauthored two grant applications to the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Both of the grants have been funded. The grants, totaling more than 2 million dollars, will fund HIV prevention efforts in Louisiana communities disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS.
