Our Mission
We want to educate men and women who will think critically and act justly...men and women who will use their knowledge and abilities in the service of others.
The mission of the College of Social Sciences is to educate students broadly in the arts and sciences so that throughout their lives they will think critically and act ethically and morally and be better able to cope with the demands of the world.
We also want our students to have a solid knowledge and understanding of their chosen majors within the college --and to be competent in the methodologies and the techniques and skills, required in their fields.
In keeping with the Jesuit tradition, we want to graduate students who will use their knowledge and abilities in the service of others.
We also seek to foster faculty research that will expand knowledge and feed into teaching so as to enrich the educational experience of our students.
