Undergraduate Programs

Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice - The undergraduate Criminal Justice program provides a multidisciplinary study of the structure, administration, and dynamics of the criminal justice system. View DPCL.

Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication - Mass Communication offers students a critical and comprehensive understanding of the techniques, theories and social consequences of our complex national and global communications system. View DPCL.

Bachelor of Arts in Political Science - Political Science prepares its undergraduate majors to assume positions of responsible and ethical leadership in a world where the most vital issues facing humankind inevitably find their way into the political process. View DPCL.

Bachelor of Arts in Sociology - Sociology offers a rigorous, comprehensive curriculum representing the discipline's theories, techniques, and critical approach to understanding the collective social forces that shape human behavior and the contemporary social world. View DPCL.

Bachelor of Liberal Studies - The Liberal Studies degree offers Evening Program students a choice of two majors, Humanities or Social Sciences, which offer students a well-rounded education in the liberal arts tradition.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing - For more than 30 years, the College of Social Sciences' School of Nursing has been preparing students and working nurses for their critical leadership role in the health care industry.

Bachelor of Arts in Economics - Economics is the study of human behavior as it relates to the production, exchange, and consumption of goods and services. The program prepares students for careers in business, industry, and government or graduate study. View DPCL.

University Honors Program

Qualified students are invited to apply to the University Honors Program, which offers challenging courses and cultural and intellectual enrichment activities. The University Honors Program is open to students of all undergraduate colleges and majors. Students are required to maintain a 3.3 overall grade point average to qualify.

Graduate Programs

Master of Criminal Justice - The Master of Criminal Justice degree program responds to the need for professionally-trained criminal justice administrators, planners and researchers as well as private security professionals.

Master of Pastoral Studies - The Loyola Institute for Ministry (LIM) engages its students in a dynamic rhythm of action and theological reflection specific to their ministries.

Master of Religious Education - The Loyola Institute for Ministry (LIM) engages its students in a dynamic rhythm of action and theological reflection specific to their ministries.

Master of Science in Counseling - This accredited master's program blends low student-teacher ratios with a curriculum that includes both a strong theoretical emphasis and live practice situations.

Master of Science in Nursing - The School of Nursing offers three tracks in the accredited Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) program. Two are clinical tracks to prepare family and adult nurse practitioners, and the other is a non-clinical track to prepare nurse managers.

Doctor of Nursing Practice - The School of Nursing offers a terminal degree to post masters nurse practitioners who wish to earn a clinical doctorate: the Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) degree. This program is taken online with a one week campus visit required each year.

Minors

All minors range anywhere from 21 credit hours to 24 credit hours. Information concerning specific requirements for minors is available in the college dean’s office or by contacting your academic department. If the requirements for the minor are not completed by graduation, the minor will not be indicated on the transcript. A minimum 2.0 GPA is required in the minor.
