Spring 2007

  • We had a great showing and wonderful visit with James Carville last Thursday, April 19.  Thanks to all who came out to hear him.  We all learned a great deal about national politics and had several laughs in the process.  His biggest advice:  Pick a candidate and get involved in the most exciting election year yet!

  • Thanks to all who showed up to make our initiation dinner such a special occasion.  Special thanks go out to Dr. Dynia, Dr. Renwick, Dr. Raabe, Dr. Burns.

  • MARK YOUR CALENDAR:  Thursday, April 26th, MO 251, at 1:00 p.m., we will be electing officers for the next academic year.  Please be present and make your voice heard!

  • MARK YOUR CALENDAR:  Wednesday May 2nd, at 3:00 p.m., in the Academic Quad outside Stallings Hall, the College of Social Sciences will h old its First Annual Social "Tiki" themed celebration.  Let's show up to support our college and have a great time together.
  • MARK YOUR CALENDAR:  New Orleans Zephyr College Night 2007!    Thursday, May 3rd, 7 p.m.  Pick up information in the Political Science Office.
  • Winners of the writing competition for the Political Science Journal - Arete - have been selected and we send congratulations to Edward Baker, Elliot Sanchez, and Kelleigh Spencer, who took prizes home in that order.  See more details under Stanislaw Makielski Prize.
