- The Department of Political Science is very excited about our new incoming majors and we look forward to meeting you at orientation this summer.
- Dr. Peter Burns will be spending this academic year at Dartmouth University, spreading his expertise on urban politics to the Ivy League. He will be a visiting professor at the Nelson Rockefeller Center. If Dr. Burns was your academic advisor, you will by now have been temporarily assigned to another advisor. Be sure to contact that professor early in the semester so as to establish a beneficial advising relationship.
- Change in Major Requirements
- Repeat
The Department has changed its major degree requirements by adding an additional required Political Science course, POLS A495 Special Project: Capstone. The number of hours needed for the major increases from 33 to 36. THIS CHANGE AFFECTS ONLY STUDENTS ENTERING THE PROGRAM IN THE FALL 2005 SEMESTER AND SUBSEQUENTLY. Students required to take this course would normally do so in their senior year. The requirements for a minor in Political Science have not been changed.
- Majors are encouraged to seek an internship during their years of study. A binder of internship opportunities is kept in the office, MO537V.
