Eric Gorham, associate professor of political science, teaches courses in the history of political thought, political economy, American political thought, philosophy of social science, and contemporary political theory. He also teaches an introduction to psychological, social, and political theory to juniors and seniors in the honors program. Originally from New York, Dr. Gorham received his A.B. at the University of Chicago, and his M.A. and PhD. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has been affiliated with Warwick University in the United Kingdom and Concordia University in Montreal, and has studied at the European University Institute in Fiesole, Italy. His publications include The Theater of Politics: Hannah Arendt, Political Science, and Higher Education (2000), and National Service, Citizenship, and Political Education (1992), as well as journal articles. He really enjoys traveling and dining, and gives travel and restaurant advice to students whether they want to hear it or not.
