Our Facilities
The College of Social Sciences includes a wide variety of classrooms, computers labs, and educational resources to help students in their path of learning. Whether, it's extensive collections of reference books or classrooms equipped with multimedia hardware, the college provides the resources you need.
Some of our specialty facilities include:
School of Nursing
The School of Nursing Assessment Lab is located on the second floor of Stallings Hall. The lab is fully-equipped with 4 GYN exam tables and 6 regular tables. All the equipment needed to do a complete head-to-toe examination is available for our nursing students. This lab is used by both undergraduate resident nursing students learning basic health assessment as well as graduate nurse practitioner students learning advanced health assessment.
In addition to the lab, the School of Nursing is fortunate to have the student health clinic as a place where students can practice what they have learned with the assistance of a practicing nurse practitioner.
School of Mass Communication
The Center for Environmental Communication provides a library of resources to the media for environmental information. The library is located in the third floor of the Communications/Music Complex, Room 327).
The Shawn M. Donnelley Center for Nonprofit Communications offers a 30-seat computer lab for mass communication students to assist nonprofit organizations with advertising and promotional campaigns, providing services as simple as the design of a flyer, or as complex as an integrated communications campaign.
