Our Facilities
Assessment Laboratory
The School of Nursing has an Assessment Lab located in Stallings Hall on the second floor. It is fully equipped with 4 GYN exam tables and 6 regular tables. The school has all the equipment needed to do a complete head-to-toe examination. This lab is used by both undergraduate resident nursing students learning basic health assessment as well as graduate nurse practitioner students learning advanced health assessment.
Student Health Clinic
In addition to the lab, the School of Nursing is fortunate to have the student health clinic as a place where students can practice what they have learned with the assistance of a practicing nurse practitioner.
Each year, the School of Nursing's senior nurse practitioner students work with Loyola's Student Health Services to put on a health fair for Loyola students, faculty and staff. The fair offers blood glucose testing, rapid HIV testing, blood pressure readings, body fat analysis, weight and body mass index. Fasting cholesterol testing also is performed. Throughout the year, the School of Nursing takes advantage of every opportunity to work with Student Affairs and the Student Health Clinic to provide health care to the Loyola community.
