Nurse Faculty Loan Repayment Program
The Nurse Faculty Loan Repayment Program (NFLP) is for graduate students who are committed to serving as full-time faculty members upon graduation. The new NFLP program is a supportive financial award that will forgive up to 85% of your graduate degree loans in return for four (4) years of fulltime employment as a faculty member in a U.S. school of nursing upon graduation.
How can I use the award?
The Nurse Faculty Loan Repayment Program award can be applied to the cost of tuition and fees. To satisfy the requirements, you must complete your graduate nursing degree curriculum with the addition of two nursing education courses taken online in a consortium arrangement Loyola University New Orleans has with Research College.

Applications are accessible below, require an interview with the Director of the School of Nursing, and submission to the Office of Financial Aid as part of the application process.
Funds will be awarded first-come-first-serve basis until the funds are spent. Students taking advantage of NFLP this year will have first priority for additional NFLP funds in subsequent years.
How do I apply?
1. Read the brief Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP) description above and complete an application to the program.
2. Print, complete and sign the application and provide the signed copies of both to Dr. Ann Cary as you schedule an interview with her. The interview can be by phone or in person to review the documents. Your application must include an interview before you can proceed in the process.
3. Upon completion of the application and the interview, the application is submitted to the Office of Financial Aid for processing and you will be issued a Promissory note, which you are required to sign and return to the Office of Financial Aid.
4. You will be contacted by the Office of Financial Aid by email at your Loyola email address to complete the NFLP process and receive your NFLP loan award. (Please note it could take up to 2 weeks to be contacted by the Office of Financial Aid.
