Health Care Systems Management (HCSM) Online Program

Why Study Online?

  1. Earn your degree while you earn a living
Learn the skills you need to succeed in today’s competitive work environment.
You will have the flexibility to “attend class" anytime, anywhere you have access to a PC. Never again will job or family-related responsibilities, travel, shift changes or commuting problems interfere with your studies.
  2. Simple access to online education
If you can open an email, you can take an online course. All you need to start your degree program is access to a Pentium-class personal computer, a standard web browser and an Internet service provider. You can take one of our online courses wherever the Internet is accessible.
  3. Learn with the latest in e-Learning technology
The HCSM online program uses the Blackboard course management system.

What is Online Learning?

Online learning allows you to access interactive coursework without the need to be physically present in a classroom. Using your computer and an Internet service provider (ISP) you can work on your course anywhere, anytime that is convenient for you giving you a measure of control over your learning.

Online learning is fully interactive. You will be able to review the materials online as often as you need. In addition, you can interact with your instructor and classmates by sharing questions, thoughts and ideas through email.

Online courses are similar to classroom courses. There will be a syllabus that leads you through the knowledge content and, in many online courses, you'll be asked to do exercises and solve problems either alone or in small groups. You'll have weekly assignments, and will generally be asked to complete projects, write papers, and/or take tests as a way for the instructors to assess your understanding of the material. And you'll be interacting with your classmates and instructors, just not face-to-face.

How It Works

You will be guided step-by-step through the learning process and coursework. Practical student guides, case studies and weekly assignments will keep you focused, motivated and on track until the degree is completed.

As an online student, you will have a unique opportunity to meet people from other places via the Internet. You may interact with your professors and fellow students as often as you like.

As a student in a degree program made available by Loyola University, the assistance you need will always be just a phone call, email or fax away!
