RFP: Review Rubric

Each proposal submitted will be read and evaluated by a Review Panel using the criteria listed below. In addition, finalists may be asked to participate in a pre-selection interview.

General information provided as requested

  • Completed application form 0 - 2 points
  • 501(c)(3) identification number 0 –1 point
  • Inclusion of board/key staff 1-3 points
  • Inclusion of 3 valuable references 1-3 points
  • Community involvement 1-3 points
  • Evidence of ability to pay for reimbursable costs 1-5 points
  • Evidence of opportunity for feedback from community partner to students 1-5 points
  • Evidence of implementation commitment/openness to change 1-5 points
  • Presentation of proposal 1-3 points

Appropriateness of challenge/need for capstone course*

  • Provides opportunity for students to create comprehensive campaign proposal that requires research, analysis, problem solving, audience segmentation, and a variety of strategic communication solutions – not just publicity or just fundraising or just promotion 1-10 points
  • Provides service to community 1-10 points
