Short Bio

Les East has been an instructor in the journalism sequence since 2002. Previously, he taught journalism at the University of New Orleans and sports marketing at Tulane University. He has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Loyola and has been a media professional in the New Orleans area ever since. Prof. East remains a newspaper reporter and writer for various magazines and Web sites. He also has been a public relations professional, radio talk show host, columnist, and editor.
