Lisa C. Martin is a full-time extraordinary professor and journalist as well as the director of Loyola’s Center for Intercultural Understanding. Prof. Martin worked as a television news producer at WWL-TV in New Orleans before moving to WTVJ-TV in Miami, Fla., where she won an Emmy for her work as a series and special projects producer. Martin went on to Chicago as the executive producer of “Travel & Adventure,” a nationally syndicated travel show. After traveling the world for four years, she earned her master’s degree in mass communication at Loyola.
Martin continues to work in her field. She has interviewed celebrities for "Access Hollywood” and “E!” She produces programs for WLAE and she is the owner and creator of SmartMart Communications, offering services such as researching, consulting, advising, and book editing.
