 ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST II (1052)                 $16.10 per hour

 (Models for change- Miscellaneous Grants)
 

    EXAMINATION IS ANNOUNCED TO SUPPLEMENT THE EMPLOYMENT LIST TO FILL ONE (1)

    PART TIME (APPROXIMATELY 24 HOURS A WEEK) WEST JEFFERSON VACANCY IN THE

    COMMUNITY JUSTICE AGENCY AND FUTURE VACANCIES AS THEY OCCUR.


    FINAL FILING DATE: Applications will be accepted and processed on a

                                     KIND OF WORK


    Under general direction and oversight of the Community Justice Agency's

    Administrative Management Specialist III (Models for Change Coordinator),

    this position is responsible for planning the day-to-day planning and

    coordination of the Community Justice Agency and Department of Juvenile

    Services efforts.  Provides assistance with meeting, planning, coordination,

    and staff logistical and administrative support.  Assists in the development

    of program mission and goals.  Researches national and local juvenile justice

    programs and stays current on the latest trends in the juvenile justice

    field.  Coordinates and conducts the gathering, monitoring, and

    interpretation of data.  Develops program performance measures and prepares

    monthly and annual reports.  Serves on committees and assists with organizing

    conferences, meetings, training workshops and seminars with other juvenile

    justice professionals.  Formulates and writes technical assistance requests,

    assists in the grant writing application process, and performs other work as

    required.


                    MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

                             FOR ADMISSION TO EXAMINATION


    Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in

    Criminal Justice, Sociology, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work,

    Education, Social Sciences, or other related field; plus, significant work

    experience in a program providing services to at-risk youth.

     
    A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course

    work in one of the areas of study listed above can substitute for one year of

    experience.

                             (ENTRANCE AND PROMOTIONAL)

     

    The examination may consist of a written test, a rating of training and

    experience, an oral panel interview or any combination thereof.  Acceptable

    candidates will be notified of the time, date, and place of any assembled
