Stephanie Shorts was recently selected for a graduate assistant position as Kevin Foose had to retire his position upon entering practicum. Stephanie will hold the GA position from the summer 2009 semester, through the 2009-2010 academic year, until she too begins practicum.

Graduate assistants are expected to assist faculty in research. They are selected by an application process where they submit a letter of interest and an example of their research/scientific writing. They must have abilities in writing, editing, and finding relevant research related to the faculty needs. They are also expected to assist the faculty with other projects such as assisting with duties the faculty might be working on with a professional association, classroom development, and even social events sponsored by the department of counseling.
