Short Bio

Stephanie Shorts is originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where she received a BA in Psychology in 2008. While at UNC, Stephanie enjoyed participating in research projects with faculty members, serving as a research assistant in two campus laboratories. During her undergraduate studies, Stephanie had the opportunity to work with parents and children through the Make-a-Wish Foundation, and took part in a mentor program for elementary school children. This led to an avid interest in child psychology and counseling children. Stephanie moved to New Orleans in the summer of 2009 to pursue a Master’s degree in Counseling at Loyola University. Her research interests include Child Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Posttraumatic Growth.
