Dean Luis Mirón secures research grant
The Ford Foundation recently awarded the Loyola University New Orleans College of Social Sciences a $250,000 seed grant to establish a research center, The Loyola Institute for Quality and Equity in Education. The ultimate goal of this research is public policy leading to a quality education for all young people in New Orleans and beyond. Dr. Mirón's research is concerned with the equitable distribution of public and private dollars and human capital across private charter schools, state run schools, and the small number of democratically governed public schools.
